Spicy Asian Wings

My first Throwback Thursday!

Blooming Beauty Bites

Hi loves!

I wanted to do a little Throwback Thursday for you!

Even though I posted this a few years back, I think it’s worth it to bring it back! I still make this a few times a month!

Shout out to Village Bakery for reminding me of this post!

I figured I would try something new out and post a few recipes that I love.

I tried making this spicy Asian wings sauce just for fun and ended up, I love making it now! It’s fairly easy and quick.

FYI: I usually just eyeball the measurements of the ingredients.

Ingredients:

1 lemon

1 Tbsp Sesame Oil

1 tsp rice vinegar

1/2 tsp of molasses (I used black)

1 Tbsp Kikkoman Roasted Garlic & Herbs Marinade (you can just use soy sauce)

1 Tbsp Pepper Sauce (I used Kakadu Wild Fire Pepper Sauce)

1 Tbsp Lawry’s Mexican Chile Limon marinade

Nail & Bone “Nimbus”

Happy Monday loves!

I hope you all have had a great weekend, can you believe it’s already summer!?

I’m doing something completely different but I just love this post so much that I’m reblogging it!

Speaking about puppies and doggies, here’s a shout out to Dog Product Picker! Your one stop online store for doggie products!

Happy Monday loves!

Hope you all had a great Super Bowl Weekend. I personally don’t usually watch the Super Bowl but like many people watch it for the commercials! What did you think of the commercials?

A couple weeks ago I was lucky enough to go to BlushCon 2018. It was part of the Asian American Expo, and it was probably one of the biggest expos I’ve been to.

As I was browsing BlushCon, I came across a booth: Nail & Bone. First thing that came to my mind was it must be a nail polish brand that has to do something with dogs. I was right!

Nail & Bone is a nail polish company that gives 20% of their proceeds to pet rescue and adoption centers such as SPCALA  Friends for Life, Best Friends Animal Society and Greater Good Animal Rescue.  My heart jumped a beat when I learned about it.

The cutest thing about this company is that all the shades are named after famous influential people’s dogs! Ellen has one and even Halle Berry! Look at that puppy trademark!

The shade I’m wearing is Nimbus which looks great on an accent nail and if you’re feeling daring you could even use Nimbus as a multi-color glitter top coat. I used Julep in Jet as the base coat.

Did you want to know who owns this adorable Mini-American Eskimo dog? I’ll give you a hint: her first YouTube video was an Avatar Naa’vi makeup tutorial. She became a viral sensation and has more than 4.5 million subscribers. Last but not least, she’s well known for her transformation videos. Any ideas yet??….

….

Promise Phan!!!

Btw: She actually did transform herself to Nimbus, his reaction was just too adorable! Check it out here!

Defy & INSPIRE “Next Season On”

Happy Monday loves!

I hope you all had a great weekend! It has been so hectic these past few weeks but I’m back for good! I have lots of ideas and plans for the next few weeks for this blog. 🙂

I think Target is going to kill me in the sweetest way and by that I mean by having Defy & INSPIRE nail polish line, only found at Target!

I’ve only bought one nail polish from that line until last week. I ran into this beauty called “Next Season On” and I know it was calling my name!

It’s such a beautiful blue-green with a copper-ish duochrome shimmer. I can’t get over this shade, I was kind of over the basic same colors I always buy. 😛

What do you guys think?!

Vali Hair Strong Vitamins Review

Happy Thursday loves!

I hope you’ve all been great! Things have been hectic these few pasts weeks but I promise I’m back for good! I’ve got so many things and ideas planned for this blog!

This is an overdue review but like they always say, better late than never right?!

I’ve been wanting to get my hair more manageable since it’s always just so curly. So when I got the opportunity to get selected to review the Vali Hair Strong Vitamins, I had to try it.

Here’s the lowdown on these vitamins:

**It’s a dietary supplement that helps with hair health and growth as well as having thicker “fuller” and stronger.

**No artificial flavors of preservatives and is vegetarian!

**To use: Take 2 capsules once daily and for best results use it for at least 30 days.

**Helps with radiant skin and nail as well.

**Ingredients include: Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Biotin, Zinc, Hyaluronic Acid, Bamboo Stem Extract, Solubilized Keratin, Stinging Nettle Root Extract, Saw Palmetto Berry Extract, Horsetail Whole Herb Powder and Collagen powder.

My Take on these vitamins:

I’ve tried other hair vitamins but in my honest opinion, my favorite is now this one. Like I’ve mentioned before, my hair is very curly and sometimes just way to curly to manage. But to my surprise, as I started using it, my hair started to show signs of improvement! That’s never happened before. For the first week or so, I just took one capsule a day just so my body could get used to it.

After the first week, I started taking 2 capsules a day and even when I did that, my hair, skin and nails improved greatly. At one point, I was washing my hair in the shower and guess what? Combing through it was just perfect, no knots or tangles. What usually takes up to 30 minutes to wash my hair, it got cut down to just 15 minutes. Thank God, it’s a miracle!

I’ve never really had an issue with my nails but I did notice that they started chipping and breaking, so by using this vitamin it helped out as well.

Out of many things I’ve tried, these vitamins are a win for me and I will gladly buy another one or two bottles of this heaven sent hair vitamins!

** Amazon has it for $19.99 while Vali has it for $24.99

And if you sign up at Vali’s website you can get 10% off . 🙂

Oceanic Nutra Vitamin B6 Review

Happy Easter Sunday loves! I hope you all had a great week! I hope you all have a blessed Easter for those who celebrate it!

I don’t know about you guys, but I feel like 2018 is a completely different year for me!

I finally got a new full time job and I’m loving it at the moment and also training at a financial firm! I’m so excited.  So when I got the opportunity to review Oceanic Nutra Vitamin B6,  it was a no brainer for me to try this vitamin out! This job entails using your mind and noticing the small things so I figured there’s no real cons to testing it.

The Claims:

ELECTROLYTE BALANCE- Vitamin B6 helps keep sodium and potassium and serotonin to boost mood.

HEALTHY METABOLISM- B6 assists the body process protein and promotes weight loss energy.

DIGESTIVE HEALTH- May help bloating, water retention, and colon health support.

CARDIOVASCULAR AND MUSCULAR SUPPORT- Vitamin B6 provides the necessary support for heart health

VISION AND EYE HEALTH- Vitamin B6 is the key to supporting vision, focus and cognition.

Vitamin B6 helps support:

*Skin

*Eye Health

*Liver Function

*Digestive System

*Muscular and Nervous System Performance

*Mood

*Energy

My Results:

I realized that when I first started this new job, it wouldn’t be like the other ones I’ve had. Meaning that I would have to wake up earlier, have an efficient breakfast and prep for my day. I would usually just wake up a little bit before an hour I would have to be up, get any type of breakfast and coffee and just go to work.

That’s not the case anymore though!

Eye and Vision Health: I did see and feel differently after taking these vitamins for a month or two. You would think that after working on a computer for 7 hours, your eyes would be dry and in pain. But the quite opposite happened, I didn’t have a problem when I got home.

Energy and Weight Loss: I do feel like it somewhat curbs your appetite which is good since I’m usually one to snack on something every few hours. Usually junk food but I’ve felt a difference. I get more energy during the day at the time most people crash around 3:30pm. As for the focus and cognition, I think it really helped during these first 2 months of my new job.

Lastly but not least. the pills aren’t that big and very easy to swallow.

Is it worth it? Would I buy it again?

Yes and Yes! I would recommend this if you’re forgetful and need more focus in life.

Pop-arazzi “Mink It Over”

Happy Monday loves!

I hope you had a great weekend. Is it just me or is this month just flying by?! We’re already half way done with March!

Don’t you love it when you get an unexpected ExtraCare Rewards from CVS? I had a $3 EC Reward and eventually picked 2 Pop-Arazzi nail polishes. 2 for $3, I mean why not? I didn’t even have to pay for tax! lol

Today, I’m wearing Pop-arazzi in the shade “Mink It Over”. It’s a simple gray shade that works with literally every season!

Special Guest App Review!

Happy Thursday loves!

I hope you all enjoyed your Valentines day! Did you guys do anything fun? I treated myself to a Living Social massage 😀

Have you ever had an event and needed live entertainment but don’t know how to find it? Well you’re in luck! I came across an app called Special Guest. Whether you’re looking for a band, a dj, a makeup artist, a comedian, photographers and singers/dancers, you’ll find it on this app! Special Guest App is a talent booking app. They make it easy for anyone, anywhere to discover and hire LIVE entertainers.

It’s really a neat way to meet promising artists! You can filter the search by talent, the location and the time and date!  I was lucky enough to ask a few questions from Kris Jones, the co-founder and guess who is the other co-founder…Damon Wayans, Jr. I loved him on New Girl! lol

1. What gave you the idea to create an app like this? My partner Damon Wayans, Jr has been in the entertainment industry since he was a kid. As a comedian and actor he practices jokes during something called “an open mic.” An open mic allows anyone with talent to take the stage and perform. About three years ago Damon was doing an open mic when he was blown away by the talent of the young woman singer songwriter that went before him. After she performed he asked her if she had representation (aka a manager) and she told him that not only did she not have a manager, but she was finding it nearly impossible to get paid to perform. A lightbulb went off in Damon’s head – he figured “there must be millions of talented people that struggle to get paid to do what they love.” Later on Damon was introduced to me through a common friend. I’m a serial entrepreneur, app developer, and investor. I immediately connected with Damon’s idea and the two of us joined forces to found and build Special Guest App.
2. What’s the success rate from your app? We are growing fast. On a daily basis we are adding new talent and helping them get paid gigs. We hope that within a year or two when anyone, anywhere thinks about hiring a LIVE entertainer they simply pull out their phone and touch Special Guest.
3. How long did it take to create an app like this? We started building the app in 2016 – so we’ve been at it for nearly two years. Most people don’t understand but building an app is an iterative, ongoing process. We spend most of our time focused on qualitative (what our users tell us) and quantitive (how our users use the app) feedback to introduce (and remove) features on an ongoing basis. That process never ends. We have the benefit of leveraging my mobile app development company APPEK Mobile Apps and my digital marketing company LSEO.com to help us build and market the app. It provides us with a considerable advantage because all of our staff is under one room collaborating on the same goals. Similarly, Damon is an actor and comedian so he is constantly introducing Special Guest to fellow comics, actors, and entertainers in Hollywood and beyond.
They’ve been featured in Huffington Post, and Cheddar. I love this idea, it’s not easy to find great talent. It’s also not easy to be an artist in this day in age without getting their name out there!
