PB&J French Toast with Vital Proteins Collagen

Hello my loves and happy Wednesday!

I hope you all are having a great week so far!

It’s been a long while since I posted a recipe let alone never blogged about collagen.

I first was introduced to Vital Proteins a few years back at the Expo West in Anaheim, California as well as another blogger by the name of The Skinny Confidential (hi Lauren!)

Vital Proteins has so many different products on their website which includes collagen water, collagen mini powders, collagen creamers, immunity boosters, collagen lattes, collagen bars, matcha powders and even workout powders.

Benefits of Collagen:

Did you know collagen helps strengthen nails, hair, skin, bones and joints and as we get older, our bodies are not able to synthesize collagen on their own and a lot of our food intake doesn’t include collagen.**

How to Use:

Simply put into your waters, coffees, beverages and food recipes. The best thing is that this specific kind has no scent and can easily dissolve into water.

My PB&J French Toast Recipe:

* 4 slices of bread

* 1 scoop of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides

* 1 egg

* 1/4 cup of milk

* pinch of salt

* cinnamon

* 2 tablespoons of butter or ghee

Spread peanut butter and jelly on the bread as if you were making a sandwich.

Whisk egg, milk, salt, cinnamon and collagen powder.

Gently place the sandwich into the egg mix and make sure you get both sides saturated.

Place 1 tablespoon of butter on the pan and wait for it to sizzle.

Using your spatula, place the sandwich in the pan and let it cook for about 3-4 minutes then turn over and wait a few minutes again.

With the other 1 tablespoon of butter, again place the butter in the pan for the next batch of french toast.

When it’s all said and done, sprinkle powdered sugar and some maple syrup on top.

Bon Appetite!

Revlon 190 Spanish Moss

Happy Monday loves. I hope you all had a great weekend and safe 4th of July!

Another great place to find discounted cosmetics is Big Lots and the 99 cent stores! I went in the 99 cent store and found 2 Revlon ColorStay Nail Polishes for only $1.49 each! Of course I had to purchase it. :-p

Today I’m wearing Revlon ColorStay Nail Polish in the shade 190 Spanish Moss. It’s really similar to the Loreal Safari Chic. Although I like this one better just because I only had to use 2 coats. It’s basically a mossy green and I love this shade!

What do you guys think? Ever found or purchased a nail polish for really cheap? 🙂

ISSE 2015 Sample Haul

Hi loves!

A few weeks ago, I went to the International Salon and Spa Expo at the Long Beach Convention Center. It’s a 3 day event where licensed makeup artists, cosmotologists, estheticians and pretty much any one in the personal wellness industry. Estheticians usually aim to go on Sunday and Monday because there’s actually more skincare booths and classes. For the past 2 years now, I’ve been going to the Saturday show mainly because it’s the cheapest day. (Bad I know!)

I went for the first time last year and was there about 3 hours in advance. (You can blame it on misreading the schedule and being sick). I pretty much walked in there and felt so overwhelmed! Just imagine a convention center filled with every type of beauty product booth! Anyways, this year I was prepared and being more social and talkative, I scored so much samples!

There was a post on Instagram where if you reposted a photo and go to a specific booth and I’d get some free stuff

Revlon 260 Bold Sangria

Hi Lovelies!

I hope you all are doing great! This week I wanted to change up my nail polish since lately I’ve been doing the Covergirl Hunger Games edition of Mani Fridays.

I’m wearing Revlon ColorStay Longwear Nail Enamel in 260 Bold Sangria. It’s a medium deep purple cream shade. I definitely love it! With one coat, its very light but I did use a second coat which made it more dark. However there is still some patches where the color isn’t concentrated but its OK! I could easily use that nail as an accent nail and use a glitter coat on top if I wanted to.

I got this for a real good deal at CVS just this past week actually. After I scanned my CVS ExtraCare card at the magic red machine, I received a $3 off any Revlon Cosmetics and I also had a manufacture coupon as well that was $1 off. Not to mention, this specific color was 50% off with a pink sticker. I basically just paid the tax! 😀

revlon 260 bold sangria

P.S.!! If you do want to snag a few makeup products on clearance at CVS, always look for the pink, green or blue sticker that mentions it’s either 25%, 50% or 75% off. You will simply be amazed!

Drugstore Beauty Haul

Hello Loves! I hope you all are doing great this week! 🙂 I always walk in drugstores just planning to look at the new products but I always get sucked in looking at the sales and clearance areas. Tsk Tsk for me. :p Hi. I’m Chrissy and I’m a beauty junkie! I ended up buying things from Target, Walmart, CVS, and Rite Aid. Walmart I bought the Trim Manicure Kit that included a nail clipper, a toenail clipper, 2 cuticle sticks, a salon board and tweezers. It’s practical and I needed to restock on the salon board and cuticle sticks. For some reason, I’m always losing my nail clippers and the time that I need to clip them, they’re gone! This only costed $0.97 and that’s the original price! trim kit I’ve never really took care of my nails but I figured I would start so I bought the Sally Hansen Cuticle Massage Cream  with apricot oil for less than $5. It intensively moisturizes and conditions which is a plus since at work I’m always using my hands. sh cuticle cream I was looking at my Ibotta app (which is a rebate app for purchasing different things and getting cashback) and found that they’ll pay you back $1 for buying the Olay Fresh Effects Va-Va-Vivid Cleaning System. These usually run about $10-15 a piece but I was lucky enough to find a few on clearance for only $5!  It comes with the Shine, Shine Go Away Cleanser along with a cleansing brush. olay CVS Just recently, CVS started selling NYX products finally! Now I can earn that $5 ExtraCare Buck for beauty purchases including NYX. I got the  NYX Wonder Pencil in the shade Light. It can be used as a concealer, eye brightener, and a reverse lip liner. I used it as an eyeliner for the waterline and my, it works wonders! Literally as its name! image (4 I’ve heard marvelous things about the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer  in 20 Sand Sable. I’d advise to go to that magic red machine that gives you coupons when you scan your card because you’ll be surprised sometimes. When I scanned my card, I had one coupon that was $3 off any Maybelline cosmetic and another coupon that was $5 off a Physicians Formula purchase. I can’t complain on those! maybelline fit me Target The only thing I got was the NYC Long Wearing Nail Enamel in 141 Red Velvet Rope. nyc red velvet rope
