Hi Loves!
I hope you all are having a great week. 🙂
A few weeks ago I got an email that includes all the freebies of that week and it had the Mario Badescu skincare sample. You basically sign up and they ask questions about your skin type and after you answer the questions, they handpick your skincare routine. Then after a few days you will get an email talking about the products more in detail and they offer you free samples of your regimen. It takes a few days to weeks for the samples to arrive. It came with a personalized instruction guide as well as a product guide discussing all of the products available and how to apply them.
There are four types of skin types: (once you take the questionnaire, they will tell you what type you are)
1. Combination- (C)
2. Oily- (O)
3. Dry- (D)
4. Sensitive (S)
What I got, a description and my review:
*Aloe Lotion: An aloe and 2% alcohol toner/astringent that cools the skin. I personally like it. When I put it on after cleansing my face, it feels refreshing. It has a light fresh scent. (Great for Combination, Dry and Sensitive Skin)

*Flower and Tonic Mask: It’s a combination of purifying and calming mask for congested, bumpy or slightly oily skin. Balsam Peru calms minor redness and irritation and Kaolin absorbs the dirt and oil from the pores. I honestly didn’t see any difference with this mask except for my nose since I do get blackheads a lot. I would only use it for my t-zone. (Great for Combination, Oily and Sensitive skin)

*Glycolic Eye Cream: High in antioxidant Vitamin E and blend of oils for a soft youthful looking eye area. I personally like this especially using it every morning and night. It’s light and fresh, not too greasy. (Great for ALL skin types)

*Drying Cream: very effective treatment to dry up small under-surface blemishes that look like raised bumps. The aloe rich cream conceals and heals erupted pimples. This is probably the best thing I have tried for those pesky hormonal acne or blemishes. It does indeed dry up the pimple and makes it look less irritated. (Great for ALL skin types)

*Hyaluronic Moisturizer (SPF 15): Daily moisture and moderate sun protection. Hyaluronic acid locks in skin’s natural moisture and antioxidant Vitamin A based Peanut Oil nourishes skin. Absorbent and non-greasy. I like this moisturizer. It’s simple but does as it says. I did add my own SPF though just to be safe. (Great for Combination, Dry and Sensitive kin)

*Orange Cleansing Soap: Orange extract makes this gentle, cream cleanser mildly exfoliating. Non-oily, non-detergent formula is safe. I wish I could have liked it but it was too simple. It didn’t feel like it cleansed my face at all. (Great for ALL skin types)

* Strawberry Face Scrub: Made with real strawberry seeds that gently buff away flaky skin while natural AHA’s (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) breakdown dull build up. It improves the overall texture. Again, I wish I would have liked this one. It didn’t feel like it worked on me. There was no difference after I used it.

I would definitely buy the Aloe Lotion and the Drying Cream. You can buy Mario Badescu products at Ulta, Nordstrom and at http://www.mariobadescu.com/Skin-Care
What I also liked about this sample kit is that it included a very personalize product application guide and also had pictures of how to apply the products on your face. In the product guide as well also has a glossary for the words that aren’t familiar.
What do you guys think? Would you fill a questionnaire to test out a skincare regimen?
