June 2020 BabeBox Reveal

Happy Tuesdays love! I hope your week is starting off great!

Where do you usually go to find new subscription boxes? Well I found this BabeBox on an Instagram ad about a few weeks ago. So I figured, I would check it out!

They had a special promotion where your first box is free, and for an extra $10 you also get 2 mystery products. Not bad, right?

What is the BabeBox?

For $29.00, you get 4-6 full size makeup, personal care, and skincare products once a month. All of the items you receive with your BabeBox are 100% cruelty-free.

Avant Skincare – Rose Beautifying Face Exfoliant $114

This is a Rose and Papaya facial exfoliant which lessens redness, skin irritation and appearance of wrinkles. Vitamin B5 also helps with moist retention.

Did you know that papaya is a great ingredient to remove dead skin and can decrease inflammation?

As with other skincare products, the expiration date is 12 months.

Steve Laurant Lip Oil in “Orchid” – $20

When I first saw this, I really thought it was just a night time kind of lip product but boy was I wrong?!

This oil is designed to soften your lips and prevent sun damage which is a great plus since we are getting into summer season.

I personally am not a big fan of gloss, but occasionally I do use this on top of my matte lipstick just to get that moisture in. I use it more often at night as a lip night treatment.

Lord & Berry Ultimate Lip Liner #3042 Rusty – $14

This is the original Lord & Berry lip pencil and it’s their signature lip liner! It’s a comfortable and easy to use because of the round-shaped barrel. LXB is used to soften and protect the skin.

Rusty is a light nude shade that can easily work with the wide range of skin shades.

(sorry for not posting a full picture as somebody bit it aka Mocha the new puppy! >_<)

It expires in 36 months.

Lord & Berry 20100 Maximatte Lip Crayon in #3402 Soul – $18

Another Lord & Berry lip product but this time, it’s matte! My absolute favorite type of lip formula! As you apply it, its a smooth application with an excellent payoff! It’s easy to carry around in your makeup case and…even after a few weeks of not being used, it’s still rich in color and doesn’t dry up.

Bang Beauty Bashful Blush in Oh Darling – $20

Oh Darling is a orange peach blush and I’m growing to like it. I’m usually a lighter blush kinda girl but I can slowly grow into it. It has a soft lightweight layer of sheer silky color that glides easily. Just always remember to use a light handed sweep to the brush and tap any excess product.  Expiration date is 12 months.

Illuminati Pink Cosmetic Sponge – $21

I usually have one sponge for my foundation and another sponge for applying setting powder and/or blending.

What do you guys think? Would you order this?!

BECCA Volcano Goddess Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches

Happy Monday creatives!

I hope you all had a great and safe weekend!

I’m back again with a new eyeshadow palette review! I’ve been using this BECCA Volcano Goddess for the past few weeks now. It was an impulse buy at TJ Maxx way before the Corona pandemic.

It has a range of shades, some natural, some glitter, and some metallics.

1st row

Cloud: an easy to use light cream shade used best for a base color (matte)

Volcanic Sand: a cream shade that can be used for either a base or a transitional shade (matte)

Granite: a light dusty taupe  shade that could be used for a base, transitional or even just an allover shade (matte)

Gilded: one of the most golden shades I have seen of yet! In my opinion, the best way to apply this is by gently tapping the eyeshadow instead of using the swiping motion.  (metallic)

Now we’re getting into the glitters and metallics!

Diamond Dust: This is a metallic cream shade with pink and gold specks of glitter this one is actually an if-y for me. it’s kind of hard to blend in even if you do the tapping motions. It’s a bit chunkier than the other glitters. I usually use this as an ending touch to my shadow look. (metallic)

Haze: This is more of a mauve-y rose gold shade that might be one of my mostly used shades of this palette! (shimmer)

Red Rock: This would be a light maroon shade that works perfectly for a crease look. (shimmer)

Lava: A sharp metallic copper that really does remind me of lava! It’s a very distinctive shade. (metallic)

These are more of the earthy dark tones

Agate Ash: a soft taupe shimmer shade that can be used perfectly for a all over shade. You could easily just wash that shade over your eye and add some eyeliner and you would look perfect! (shimmer)

Crate: somewhat of a deep shimmering stone shade that again would be perfect just on it’s own. (shimmer)

Hematite: a deep gunmetal shade with a lot of sparkles! This one as well is best applied with your finger in tapping motions. Remember it’s always best to use your fingers for most of the metallic colors. (shimmer)

Midnight Sapphire: a shimmering midnight blue. This is such a beautiful color however, this is actually the 2nd most hardest shade to apply! Again tapping with your fingers is your best way of achieving a smoldering look. I occasionally use this shade when I’m going out in the evening and need a little umph in my look. (metallic)

Pros: The shimmering shadows are to die for! You have a range of different shades whether you want to use it as an everyday look, a special look or an nightlife look.

Cons: I would recommend to do your eye makeup first as you do get quite some fallout as you apply mostly the metallic shades.

Do I regret buying it? Umm, of course not! I really do love this palette and can we talk about the packaging! It’s screaming out indeed volcanic vibes. Don’t you think?!

CVS NYX Weekly Shopping Deal

Happy Wednesday loves!

Hope you’re all doing well, we’re halfway till the weekend.

I’m back again with a CVS Beauty haul and a deal!

If you buy $15 worth of NYX cosmetics you’ll get $5 back in Extra Care Rewards.

You can easily buy 3 items for $5 and there you go, you’ll get $5!

I got 2 retractable eyeliners and 1 eyeshadow base.

For the eyeliners, I bought Black and Aqua Green and I just love the green, especially as a waterline color.

As for the eyeshadow base, it’s actually a smokey eye base!

It’s actually black, instead of the usual nude and the white shade.

Hope you all have fun drugstore shopping! 😀

Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Eyeshadow Palette

Happy Monday loves!

I’m changing things up this week since I’ve still got my gel nails on! This has been an over due eye shadow palette review that I completely forgot about! Back in Christmas season, CVS had a Wet n Wild palette kit which included an eye shadow palette, an eye primer, and an eyeliner. This has been in my makeup storage for quite some time and forgot about it. The only reason I remembered it was because I was wearing a green top and wanted to go for a green look, and I found the palette hiding. This palette has 6 shades, and is called Comfort Zone.

There’s 2 sets of shadow shades: a rosey taupe set and an emerald green set.

The Rosey Taupe Set:

  1. A light golden shimmery brow bone color. I use this for the brow bone and also sometimes in the inner corner for a pop of color!
  2. A rosey eyelid shade: This usually my go to eyelid color when I want a rosey pink look. I love how its light and actually very buildable.
  3. A medium bronze crease shade: I wish the picture would do the color justice! It’s a medium bronze with  metallic shimmer. I sometimes use this as an eyelid shade for the days I want a basic bronze look
  4. A darker brown definer shade: This is probably one of the darkest shade in this palette! It has a burgandy reddish glitter to it. I love using this as an eyeliner for those days I don’t want to use a gel or liquid liner.

The Emerald shades:

I’ve read that people who use an emerald shade for brown eyes makes the eyes pop. So I love this part of the palette!

  • A. a bronze browbone: Again I use this for mostly the inner eye. It’s such a pretty bronze taupe shimmer.
  • B. a spring green eyelid: This is actually my favorite color from the whole palette. It’s a pretty shimmery green that is buildable. It looks really pretty on top of the Revlon ColorStay Creme Eyeshadow in Pistachio.
  • C. a grayish brown with a shimmery top crease. It’s a bit harder to blend in compared to the others.
  • D. a red brown with a blue-teal duochrome and frosty top. I love this is shade as well just because it’s so different!

There you have it loves! My very first Wet n Wild Eyeshadow Palette Review. What do you guys think?!

Recent Beauty Haul

Happy first day of summer loves!!

I don’t know how the weather is over where you guys are but, it’s only 11am here in LA and already the sun is blaring down at us!

To kick off the summer spirit, I’ve got 2 honorable mentions of my beauty purchases that I’ve been loving lately!

I’ve been on the hunt for L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara and had the hardest time finding it. I went to Target and found out they sold out within the second day! Then went to Ulta and it still wasn’t delivered to them so last idea I had was to order it online. I did find it online on Amazon but it shouldn’t ship until another 2 weeks!

I plan to try it out for a few weeks and will post a review on my blog, so I won’t talk more about this till then!

As I was at Ulta looking for my mascara, I came across the Biore Pore Penetrating Charcoal Bar. I feel like this is a great dupe for the Lush Coalface for half the price. It’s even got a peppermint scent to it. So it feels great after a long day while your face is feeling refreshed.

Dollar Store Beauty Haul

Happy Wednesday loves!

Hope you’re all doing great and enjoying the summer!

I’ve recently been working at a few different Dollar Trees and have been finding some good drugstore brands there! (Probably the only pro about working inventory and seeing other Dollar Trees)

dollar store haul

At Dollar Tree, I found a few Maybelline Color Tattoo Pigments so of course I grabbed it! Honestly, my local Dollar Tree doesn’t have many product options, so when I see more products in other stores, I’ll definitely go for it.

dollar tree maybelline

40 Improper Copper, 5 Never Fade Jade, and 60 Buff & Tuff.

Out of the 3, my favorites are Improper Copper and Never Fade Jade. Buff & Tuff is more of a sparkly champagne that doesn’t really come out strong.

So at the .99 cent cent only store, there’s a section of makeup products that aren’t .99 cents but under $1.99. I found a few Julie G nail polishes that are only sold at Rite Aid. These gems are 0.99 cents and I purchased 3! Just for now at least lol

Elegant Edge, Dance in the Dark, and Passion

Have you guys found anything special at your local dollar stores?! 🙂

Massive CVS Beauty Haul

Hey Loves,

I hope everyone is doing great in this winter-ish weather. Brr it’s been freezing lately!

I went to CVS Pharmacy a few days back and I think I may have done quite some damage. haha :p

They have this end of the year sale on clearance, ranging from 25%, 50% or 75% off some beauty products. Every store varies, so I would check out a few of them.

They also had a sale where if you buy $20 worth of makeup from ANY Rimmel,  Maybelline,Physicians Formula and  CoverGirl Face, Eyes or Outlast Nail.

When you buy $10 or more on Revlon, you get $4 back in ExtraCare bucks.

Let’s just say I took advantage of everything that I liked!

cvs haul

The Essence of Beauty cleansing sponges were 75% off while the original price was $4.79 and I only paid $1.19 so I bought 2.

cleaning sponges

Some of the Covergirl Outlast Nail glosses were 50% which isn’t a bad deal. I got “Out of the Blue 295” and “Always Autumn 260”. Both are pretty colors and they last long! They were originally $5.99 and I only paid $2.99.

cg nail glosses

I then got the CoverGirl Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in “Lime Green Flame 315” and the CoverGirl Flamed Out Shadow Pot in “Lime Light 310”. I had a coupon that was $4.50 off 2 CoverGirl Eyes. You could find the same coupon in a few magazines. The total of those together with the coupon was $7.98. Not bad at all!

cv duo

Then there was the Maybelline Limited Edition Shimmer Blush in ” 110 Plum Shimmer. I paid $8.99 for this one. It’s price was pretty steep but then again I do enjoy these limited edition products.

maybelline le blush

So because I had bought over $20 worth of Maybelline and CoverGirl, I got to choose a free tote bag. It was either between a black tote with big white polka dots or a black tote with leopard print. When I first saw this in the ad, I thought it was a cheap small tote, but when I saw it in person I knew I’d love it. This is what I picked.

free tote bag

Lastly I had to get a new foundation since the one I had didn’t do its job, so I got the Revlon ColorStay Foundation for Normal/Dry Skin in the shade “320 True Beige”. I paid $12.99 for it but I did get $4 dollars back so yaay!

revlon foundation

I’d say this is was an eventful week for CVS and their deals! 🙂 I honestly can’t wait till I look at the other CVS stores and see their variety!

Rimmel Retro Glam Mascara

Hey Lovies!

Influenster and Rimmel were kind enough to send me a complimentary Rimmel Retro Glam Mascara that was in my Rose VoxBox. This comes into stores November 2013!

DSC02946

Here are a few pictures showing how the wand but the photos don’t do it justice at all! lol

Photo 4

Photo 3 (1)

It’s an hourglass shaped wand where the middle is thinner.

I  only have two cons I have with this is that

1. when you take out the wand, there’s so much excess mascara.

2. It’s really hard to apply the mascara on the bottom lashes.  I feel like the wand is really big that I might poke my eye with it especially if you have long bottom  lashes.

Grrr.

But other than that, I love it! It gives an illusion that your eyes have a wide look (which is great for me since I have small eyes). *Forgive my blah eyebrows*

PicMonkey Collage

As you can tell, there’s quite a difference when I’m not wearing the mascara and when I am.

*TIPS*

-Tightline your eyes before you apply the mascara

-Use an eyelash curler before you apply the mascara

-If you can find it, buy an eyelash guard where you can place it on your eye as you apply the mascara so you don’t get any excess on your lids.

I wanted to try a makeup look with the mascara so I tried this out!

It’s the WetnWild 2013 Holiday Limited Edition “No Neutral Ground”.
