Milk Street Coffee Sugar Sampler Pack

Happy Wednesday loves! I hope your week is going great so far! It’s been a hectic week, let me tell you!

So I have this new idea where I post about food related topics like recipes and new products coming out.

What do you guys think?!

I’m starting off this series with a Coffee Sugar Sampler pack made by Milk Street.

What is Milk Street?

It is a multimedia (magazines, books, online shopping) and instructional food preparation created by Christopher Kimball, who is an American chef, editor, publisher and a radio TV personality. Check out his podcast!

What exactly is Coffee Sugar?

There is actually 6 different coffee sugars that Milk Street Offers.

*Caramel Brulee – sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla

*Coconut Ginger Cream – coconut milk cream powder, ginger, cumin, cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander, black pepper, cardamom, bay leaf and cloves

*Burnt Sugar Orange – sugar, cinnamon and allspice

*Turkish Cardamom – sugar, cocoa, cardamom and cinnamon

*Mexican Mocha – sugar, cocoa, cinnamon and dehydrated chili pepper

*Honey Spice Tea Sugar – sugar, honey, cinnamon, coriander, ginger, allspice, peppermint and lavender

How to Use Coffee Sugars?

Let me tell you: The possibilities are endless! You could use them on baking recipes. I.e. cakes, cookies, pancakes, coffee, tea, yogurt, french toast. I would even try the Mexican Mocha and the Turkish Cardamom on meat! However, just a pinch.

What do you guys think? Would you try this?!

My Recipe:

I had chosen to get the Beefless Tips but at the same time, I didn’t just want to eat that. So I got creative and here’s what I came up with!

Paramesan Pasta and I  sauteed veggies (including red bell peppers, spinach, brocolli, kale, green beans and garlic) with the Beefless Tips. Oh and I added a little Korean BBQ sauce to the veggies! I wanted to add some color to my dish so I added a cucumber, some colored cherry tomatoes and black olives on the side.

My Review:

I personally liked it because I added flavors to it. It couldn’t come in a better time for me! It being Lent as well, it was the perfect time to get chosen for this mission. It really does cook really quick, mine only took about 4-5 minutes. It’s easy to make and healthy and especially time efficient! Especially for those times that you don’t have enough time to cook a meal.

Spicy Asian Wings

Hi loves!

I wanted to do a little Throwback Thursday for you!

Even though I posted this a few years back, I think it’s worth it to bring it back! I still make this a few times a month!

Shout out to Village Bakery for reminding me of this post!

I figured I would try something new out and post a few recipes that I love.

I tried making this spicy Asian wings sauce just for fun and ended up, I love making it now! It’s fairly easy and quick.

FYI: I usually just eyeball the measurements of the ingredients.

Ingredients:

1 lemon

1 Tbsp Sesame Oil

1 tsp rice vinegar

1/2 tsp of molasses (I used black)

1 Tbsp Kikkoman Roasted Garlic & Herbs Marinade (you can just use soy sauce)

1 Tbsp Pepper Sauce (I used Kakadu Wild Fire Pepper Sauce)

1 Tbsp Lawry’s Mexican Chile Limon marinade

1 Tbsp Sweet & Spicy Chili Dressing

1 Tbsp Sriracha (this stuff is amazing!)

Black Pepper and Salt

Sesame Seeds

Garlic Salt

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat the oven at 375 degrees.

2. Mix all wet ingredients first then the dry ingredients. Mix all together.

3. Place aluminum foil on a tray. Spray on the foil a non-stick spray or butter so the chicken doesn’t stick to the foil.

4. Save half of the mixture into another bowl.

5. Dip the chicken wings into the one bowl of mixture. Turn to the other side to let it marinade for a 10 minutes.

6. Transfer the chicken wings to the tray leaving some room in between the wings.

7. Place in oven for 1 hour.

(Optional)

8. When it’s ready and cooled down, you take the other bowl of mixture and dip the already made chicken in it.

9. Relax and Enjoy!
