Julie G Passion

Happy Friday loves!

How are you all?! I figured I would change up this week and do my Mani day today instead. (Back to the old days!)

So in my last post, I mentioned that I bought some nail polishes at the .99 cent only store and oh dear lord, I love them! It also helps that its pretty darn cheap! I only paid .99 compared to going to Rite Aid and paying $3.99 or so.

I really love this color and how it changes color in the sun.

Sinful Colors 962 Ocean Side

Hi Loves!
I hope you’re all having a great week!
For Friday Mani this week, I’m wearing the Sinful Colors nail polish in the shade 962 Ocean Side. It’s a pretty dark teal cream blue and I honestly enjoy the Sinful Colors line. For the most part, they don’t chip as easily. What do you guys think? 🙂

Revlon 260 Bold Sangria

Hi Lovelies!

I hope you all are doing great! This week I wanted to change up my nail polish since lately I’ve been doing the Covergirl Hunger Games edition of Mani Fridays.

I’m wearing Revlon ColorStay Longwear Nail Enamel in 260 Bold Sangria. It’s a medium deep purple cream shade. I definitely love it! With one coat, its very light but I did use a second coat which made it more dark. However there is still some patches where the color isn’t concentrated but its OK! I could easily use that nail as an accent nail and use a glitter coat on top if I wanted to.

I got this for a real good deal at CVS just this past week actually. After I scanned my CVS ExtraCare card at the magic red machine, I received a $3 off any Revlon Cosmetics and I also had a manufacture coupon as well that was $1 off. Not to mention, this specific color was 50% off with a pink sticker. I basically just paid the tax! 😀

P.S.!! If you do want to snag a few makeup products on clearance at CVS, always look for the pink, green or blue sticker that mentions it’s either 25%, 50% or 75% off. You will simply be amazed!

CoverGirl Glosstini 600 Sulfur Blaze

Hi Loves!

Hope you’re all having a great week and good luck to everyone taking their final exams. 🙂

For the past few weeks, I’ve seen both Target and CVS Pharmacy have the CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Glosstinis on clearance. At CVS, they’re 50% off and at Target it’s $1.49! Definitely a great steal! I bought this color at Target for only $1.48 and I’d be surprised to go back and see a few shades left. It turns out that this line is actually a limited edition Hunger Games called “Limited Edition Capitol Collection”.

Today, I’m wearing the shade 600 Sulfur Blaze. It’s a very vibrant yellow gold with gold glitter. It’s a great color statement and perfect for the summer.

cvg sulfur blazeI definitely can’t wait next week to see what shade I’ll be wearing for this Friday Manicure series.

Sinful Colors Shine In The Limelight

Happy Friday Loves!

While I was at Walgreens a few days ago, I had found a new line of the Sinful Colors nail polish. It’s called the Sinful Shine with Gel Tech and I was intrigued by this specific shade. The shade is called In The Limelight 1233. I have to say I love this! I never thought I’d buy a lime green polish but I wanted to get out of comfort zone. It’s a fun spring/summer color. I really do like the finished result, I did not put any top coat and it’s shiny. It really does look like a gel polish.

I hope you all loved this color! I’ll be sure to buy more shades from this line. 🙂

Until next time!

VEET EasyWax Electrical Roll-On Kit Review and How-to

Who would rather shave or wax in the summer? Think about it. If you shave you usually have to shave once a week or once every 2 weeks. Why do that  if you buy yourself an at-home wax and wax every 4 weeks. Complimentary of Influenster, they sent me the VEET EasyWax Electrical Roll-On Kit to use and review.

The kit includes:

1 Electrical warmer with base

1 Refill Legs & Body roll-on

24 Hair Removal Strips

4 Perfect Finish wipes

1 Instruction Sheet

and

1 Electrical cable

veet

Instructions:

You’re supposed to heat it up for about 20 minutes but from my experience it was more like an hour at least.

Then you test the wax on a piece of paper to see if the wax rolls. If it rolls easy, then its ready to use.

Roll the wax with the direction of the hair growth.

Apply the  wax strip in the same direction of the hair growth and make sure you run your fingers over the strips so they can be more efficient for the hair removal BUT leave a space for you to be able to hold the strip.

Hold your skin taut (tight), and hold the loose part of the strip and pull the opposite of the direction of the hair growth.

Then use the perfect Finish wipes to clean any left over wax and to sooth the skin.

CAUTION: After waxing, the skin might be a little red but that is normal.

My Input on this product:

I wish I could say I like this product but I honestly am not a fan of it. First of all, it took more like an hour to heat up instead of the 20 minutes.  I waxed my legs and they were decent, it wasn’t perfect but it’s better than shaving. For The Legs & body roll-on refill, I personally don’t think that works for the underarms.

I would definitely buy a refill of a different body part roll-on and test it out especially for the underarms.

DISCLOSURE: I received this product complimentary for testing and review purposes from Influenster. 🙂

Bikini Soft Smooth Shave Oil Review

A couple of weeks ago, Bikini Soft Smooth approached me to do a review on their shave oil. I’ve tried it now for a few weeks and its a pretty good concept. There’s two parts to it.

1. the shave oil

2. razor saver oil

The shave oil:

the ingredients are  Safflower Oil, Sunflower Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E, Aloe, Avocado Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Olive Oil, Citrus Oil and Astaxanthin.

I like the idea of all the ingredients being natural.

How to Use:

You wet the area you’re about to shave. Then you massage 8-10 drops into your moist hands. Massage the oil onto the area you want to shave. Shave as usual and make sure to wet the razor more than a few times. Rinse and towel dry.

I actually put a little bit of eos shaving cream after shaving it with the oil and it comes out pretty clean. No snags. No prickly feeling after shaving.

My favorite place to use the shave oil would be my underarms to be honest. Who likes shaving and then feeling that prickly feeling when you move around. Exactly I doubt anyone one does.

The Razor Saver Oil:

Its ingredients are Sunflower Oil, Safflower Oil and Oilve Oil. The great part about this is that it’s all natural!

How to Use:

After you finish shaving, clean the razor with water. Then you pat dry the razor. (make sure you pat it softly unless you want your razor to snag on your towel). Lastly you apply the saver oil to the razor blades and lubricating strip if you have one.

Overall, I love this product. It helps with the irritation and its a clean shave. Who doesn’t like that? 🙂

Oh and I almost forgot! The awesome part about this company is that it helps the environment. You can mail them your old ragged-y razors that you don’t use anymore and they recycle it!
