Defy & INSPIRE “Next Season On”

Happy Monday loves!

I hope you all had a great weekend! It has been so hectic these past few weeks but I’m back for good! I have lots of ideas and plans for the next few weeks for this blog. πŸ™‚

I think Target is going to kill me in the sweetest way and by that I mean by having Defy & INSPIRE nail polish line, only found at Target!

I’ve only bought one nail polish from that line until last week. I ran into this beauty called “Next Season On” and I know it was calling my name!

It’s such a beautiful blue-green with a copper-ish duochrome shimmer. I can’t get over this shade, I was kind of over the basic same colors I always buy. πŸ˜›

What do you guys think?!

“People are like stained – glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.” -Elizabeth Kublor-Ross.

Happy Easter Monday loves!

I’m soo sorry I’ve been way behind posting! I got sick this past week and it was not good! Anyway’s I’m back and hope you guys didn’t give up on me.

I realized that I have lots of nail polish and yet I’ve never tried any of the nail art stickers that every brand is popping out with. I was at the .99 cent store and found a pretty good steal. The Revlon Nail Art 3D Jewel Appliques Denim & Diamonds for only $1. Great idea especially for someone who’s never tried it before and doesn’t want to pay lots of money to try it out.

Now let me tell you, trying it for the first time was a little difficult, having to not have any air bubbles and trying to figure out with nail art fits with which nail. But really not bad for a first time try.

What do you guys think? Which ones have you tried or recommend?! πŸ™‚

Covergirl 635 Scalding Emerald

Happy Monday loves!

I’m going back to my Hunger Games themed nail polishes from CoverGirl because I wanted some glitter! lol

Here I’m wearing the CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Glosstinis in the shade 635 Scalding Emerald. This shade is more on the sheer side and to get this tone, I had to add 3 layers to it. 3 Layers! It doesn’t look as emerald as you would think but I personally like it. It has a mixture of gold and green specks of glitter. You can use it for a cute glittery top coat or just by itself. Either way, it’s a pretty color to wear especially during the holidays.

Revlon 730 Valentine

Happy Friday loves!!

I hope you all are having a great Friday and fun filled weekend ahead of you. Good luck to all who have finals coming up!

This weekend I’m wearing the Revlon 730 Valentines. It’s a classic red wine oldie that I totally forgot I had. I used the Orly Poli-Shield top coat.

I have a few upcoming reviews on the Lemongrass Spa products and can’t wait to post them!

Pink Shock Friday

Hi Loves,

I hope you all are having a great week!

Today I’m wearing Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer in the shade “Pink Shock 200”. It’s a true to color hot pink that packs a punch. A great color for spring!

The Β accent nail being Sinful Color in Frenzy. It’s a pretty bluish, purple pink sparkle/glitter. I personally use it on top of a base coat.

The top coat is the Orly Polishield 3-1 Top Coat which makes the nail polish more glossy. πŸ™‚

Southwest Sunset Friday

Hi lovelies!

I wanted to change things up a bit so I’m going to start a new nail polish series on Fridays. I’m going out of the norm with Mani Mondays πŸ˜›

For this Friday (today) I’m posting a recent buy. I’m wearing Julie G nail polish in Southwest Sunset and on the ring finger, I’m wearing the Sally Hansen Triple Shine in Oyster Bar 180.

P.S. As of right now, only Rite Aid sells Julie G and I bought the Sally Hansens from CVS.

I hope you all like it!

What do you guys think about the new series?!

Maybelline Color Tattoos Swatches and Review!

Everyone by now probably has heard about Maybelline’s 24 Hour Color Tattoo Eyeshadows and there’s a reason for it!

I probably have almost every one of them except a few. My favorite thing about them is that it really does stay 24 hours. You know everyone has those days that you’re just too tired to take off your makeup from a long night out. I’ve done that a few times (like everyone else) πŸ˜‰ and when I woke up, I still had the eyeshadow on. It didn’t smear, budge or anything; it still looked like it was just put on. Oh the pigment!

Here’s the ones that I already own with a little description of the color

*15 Audacious Asphalt – sparkly dark grayish

*25 Bad to the Bronze –

*30 Pomegranate Punk

*35 Tough as Taupe

*40 Tenacious Teal

*45 Bold Gold

*50 Edgy Emerald

Then the Metal Collection:

*55 Inked in Pink

*65 Gold Rush

The Limited Edition Fall Colors 2012

*200 Ready Set Green

*300 Fuchsia Fever

*400 Test my Teal

Bikini Soft Smooth Shave Oil Review

A couple of weeks ago, Bikini Soft Smooth approached me to do a review on their shave oil. I’ve tried it now for a few weeks and its a pretty good concept. There’s two parts to it.

1. the shave oil

2. razor saver oil

The shave oil:

the ingredients are Β Safflower Oil, Sunflower Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E, Aloe, Avocado Oil, Sandalwood Oil, Olive Oil, Citrus Oil and Astaxanthin.

I like the idea of all the ingredients being natural.

How to Use:

You wet the area you’re about to shave. Then you massage 8-10 drops into your moist hands. Massage the oil onto the area you want to shave. Shave as usual and make sure to wet the razor more than a few times. Rinse and towel dry.

I actually put a little bit of eos shaving cream after shaving it with the oil and it comes out pretty clean. No snags. No prickly feeling after shaving.

My favorite place to use the shave oil would be my underarms to be honest. Who likes shaving and then feeling that prickly feeling when you move around. Exactly I doubt anyone one does.

The Razor Saver Oil:

Its ingredients are Sunflower Oil, Safflower Oil and Oilve Oil. The great part about this is that it’s all natural!

How to Use:

After you finish shaving, clean the razor with water. Then you pat dry the razor. (make sure you pat it softly unless you want your razor to snag on your towel). Lastly you apply the saver oil to the razor blades and lubricating strip if you have one.

Overall, I love this product. It helps with the irritation and its a clean shave. Who doesn’t like that? πŸ™‚

Oh and I almost forgot! The awesome part about this company is that it helps the environment. You can mail them your old ragged-y razors that you don’t use anymore and they recycle it!

Random Dupe

Happy Easter to all my Orthodox Friends! I was at CVS pharmacy and looking at the New York Color nail polishes. I was pretty interested in the new spring colors. I picked up the color in “Lexington Lilac 147”. It’s a light pinkish purple color.

Little did I know, I had a similar color from Ulta called “Tutu Cute” and it’s almost the same color. πŸ™‚ this one is more of a darker version of pink and purple.

Its a good thing, that they’re both similar in color. Especially if you’re tight on money, the NYC color is only 0.99 while Ulta’s brand is $6.

Here you can see the difference of the colors. Not too much though thankfully. πŸ™‚
