Chef’d Spoon Meal Plan Review

Happy Friday loves!

Just by signing up for Chef’d emails, they sent me a Spoon University Meal Plan box. Let me tell you, I didn’t expect the box to be that big!! They sent a variety of snack and beverage products.

It’s such a great idea for college students who are away from home, you can basically just get your meals that you choose, especially for those that spend so much money on fast food. *We’ve all been there!*

Meal types: beef, pork, poultry, vegetarian, shellfish, fish and lamb! Then based on your meal options, they bring you a few different recipes to choose from. After that they also have a few other box options such as the Grab n’ Go, Snacks and/or Fruit.

With every meal kit, you’ll receive: 2 pre-portioned fresh meals, 6 Grab n’ Go Meals, 10 beverages & snacks and 5 assorted fruits.

Spoon box

Here’s what I got in my Snacks box!

Beverages: SmartWater, SmartWater Sparkling, Zico Coconut Water and Coca Cola Life with Cane Sugar and Stevia

beverages

Granola and Oatmeal: Quaker Real Medley Apple Walnut Flavor Oatmeal and Purely Elizabeth Cranberry Pecan Granola and Puffs Cereal

granola cereal

Popcorn and Crunches: Skinny POP Popcorn, Dark Chocolate Harry & David Moose Munch Gourmet Popcorn and Chia Crunch Coconut. 2 doses of popcorn?! I’m definitely not complaining. Chia Crunch Coconut is freeze dried coconut slices with chia seeds.

crunchies

Quest Beyond Cereal Protein Bars in Cinnamon Roll, Waffle and Chocolate flavors. These would work best after a workout!

quest

Chocolate: 2 Nib Mor all natural superfruit cacao bits “Daily Dose of Dark” and Coffee Thins, the Edible Coffee Treat Espresso. So I can actually have chocolate infused with coffee?! That sounds like heaven to me!

chocolate

Fruits: Sun Maid Sour Strawberry Golden Raisins and That’s It Zesty, 2 apples + cinnamon. I grew up on Sun Maid Raisins so finding another flavor brings back so many memories! As for the fruit bar, I’ve tried it at Starbucks before and its a simple fruit bar.

fruity

Protein Bars: Clif Bar Sierra Trail Mix which has peanuts, chocolate and raisins. RXBar, a 12gram Protein bar with 3 egg whites, 4 almonds, 6 cashews, 2 dates and no B.S.

February’s Daily Goodie Box Preview

Happy Wednesday loves!

What would you say if you could get a box full of goodies for free just for giving your honest opinion!? Well this amazing idea does exist and it’s called the Daily Goodie Box! There’s a variety of products in here ranging from snacks, home and health. I’m excited to try all of them but there’s a few that made my mouth drop. :p

*Coffee Blocks*- “a better butter coffee” A squeezable coffee block that has coffee and butter?! As if you guys didn’t know yet, I’m a coffeeholic so when I saw I was receiving this, I was ecstatic.

*Nature’s Bakery Raspberry Fig Bar*- I first heard and tried this out at last year’s Cake Expo in Los Angeles. Ever since then, it’s a snack i’ve been getting. When it first came out, I only found it at Winco, but they’ve started selling it at grocery stores.

*Gorilly Goods Coast Sweet Curry Cashew & Fruits* – I don’t know about this one since I’m not a big fan of curry but still interested in trying it out. It’s organic, raw, vegan, non-GMO, Gluten Free, and nutrient dense. By the looks of it, you could order it online on their site or at your local natural grocery store.

gorilla-goods

-may I mention the brand name and logo is amazing. You’ve got an outline of a gorilla hence the name!

*Vermont Smoke & Cure Cracked Pepper Beef & Pork Stick* – I always like trying new beef sticks, it brings back childhood memories of Slim Jims. You can find them at Whole Foods, Target and Super Target.

vermont-beef-stick

*Just Chill Jamaican Citrus (Calm+Focus)* – I’ve seen this a few times at Vons but never tried it. It appears to be a stress relieving and focusing sparkling calming beverage. It claims to support calm and focused mindset, helps reduce stress with Suntheanine. This drink is available at your grocery store, seems like this is an easy product to get your hand on compared to these other snacks.

just-chill

*Aloha Daily Good Greens Chocolate Blend* – I’ve actually tried the original Aloha Daily Good Greens so I’m excited to see the difference between them. It’s a dietary supplement and whole food powder that energizes, provides nutrients and makes you feel great.

*XyliChew Spearmint Gum* – So it’s a gum sweetened with Birch Xylitol which is extracted from US forests. It helps balance your pH in your mouth reducing acid-producing bacteria that erodes tooth enamel. Now I’m excited to try this one out. You can purchase this at your local Sprouts and/or online stores such as Amazon, Vitacost, Herbvive just to name a few.

xyli-chew-gum

*Dream Water Sleep Powder* – Just the name of it, makes you wonder… lol We’ve all had those somewhat sleepless nights where you try everything and just still can’t fall asleep. It’s best to take this right after brushing your teeth and 30 minutes before going to sleep and if sleep is interrupted, then take another one. I’ll have to try this out when I’ve got to wake up for a really early shift. You can get these at your local grocery stores, some drug stores and even online.

dream-water

*Jack n’ Jill Natural Toothpaste* – Wow this toothpaste is even suitable from 6 month old babies and older. It’s all natural and safe in case the kids swallow it. It’s SLS free, no fluoride, no preservatives, no added color. Xylitol is their main ingredient…Hey that was also the main ingredient for the gum! It’s an Australian company so you can only order online.

*Nellie’s All-Natural Wow Stick Stain Remover* – We all hate those random stains on your clothes right? Well wet the stained area of the fabric and rub the stick on the stained area. Agitate the stain under water and laundry away. It’s got lemongrass and sweet orange oil work with the cleansing ingredients to fight those odors caught in the stains.

There you have it loves, a preview of my February Daily Goodie Box. I can’t wait till I get another one! Do you have any favorite subscription boxes?! I’d love to hear about it. 🙂

SweeTARTS Soft & Chewy Ropes Review

Happy Wednesday loves!

“Imperfection is beauty; madness is genius; and it’s better to absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring” -Marilyn Monroe

A month and a half ago, I was sent the SweeTARTS Soft & Chewy Ropes candy complimentary of Smiley360. It was formerly known as Kazoozles and it’s in the Cherry Punch flavor.

In the package, I had 2 samples of the SweeTARTS Soft & Chewy Ropes: 1 single pack and 1 share pack.

So to be honest, at first I was very hesitant to try this just because I’m not a great big fan of cherry. When I first opened my package, my sister saw it and I pretty much gave her the single pack since I know she’s a sucker for cherry flavors.

sweet tarts

However, when I did try it, I really did like it! There’s not too much of a cherry taste but instead it’s mixed in with a fruit punch taste. It’s basically a cherry flavored rope with a fruit punch filling. In a very weird way, they kind of remind me of the Sour Punch straws in a tangy chewy way. I would probably end up buying a few packs after finishing my original package.

5 out of 5 stars!

What do you guys think? Do you have any old childhood candies that you miss?

Daiso Japan Haul Lakewood Grand Opening

Hi lovelies!

I’m so sorry I’ve been behind in my Friday Mani posts, been working these past 2 Fridays! But I’ll be sure to post this coming Friday.

There was a big grand opening for the Daiso Japan store in Lakewood, CA and that’s the closest one to my house. So when I heard there was a grand opening, I had to go and this was my first time actually going to a grand opening of any store. The doors opened at 10am but by the time I got there at 9am, there was already a line! For the first 200 customers with receipts, they would get a goodie bag at the end.

Daiso is a Japanese discount store where most of the products are $1.50 while some other products are $1.00 up to $3.00. It’s almost impossible to go into this store to buy one thing, but I can tell you for sure: you’ll definitely buy more than one thing!

I do admit I do think I did go a bit overboard with shopping at this store!

haulBeauty View

This is a mirror that can be used as standing type by folding the lid in backwards. This works perfectly for someone who is trying to do their eyebrows, put on their contacts or practice their eyeliner technique. I definitely plan to use it for those purposes. It’s has a cute pink hue to it with pink flowers on the cover.

Hair Pin with Mirror Case Set

This is a small black sophisticated box that carries your bobby pins and it did also includes 25 bobby pins. When you open it up, there’s a mirror. I really do love the design of this case on the top! It’s detailed with two roses.

Cosmetic Cotton

This contains 150 sheets which you can use for makeup removal and nail polish removal and is 100% cotton.

Face Towel

It’s 100% cotton and comes in different colors and I chose navy. It’s always a good idea to have one towel used just for cleansing the face instead of using a towel for hair and the face. Honestly when I see this color, I automatically think of the Cookie Monster!

face towel

Foot Mask Pack

When I first saw this, I was surprised! A mask for your feet?! I’ve heard of the baby soft feet product but not this. I’m definitely post this on Instagram when I try it out.

Kleancolor Nail Lacquer and Kleancolor Wizard Pads

I got this nail lacquer in 139 Pastel Pink. The name says it all. I definitely need more summer polishes so I figured try this new brand out! As for the Wizard Pads, it is nail polish remover pads and cuticle oil. I like how it’s easy to use with no mess. Only recommendation is that if you do use the Wizard Pads, I suggest you use it on a light colored polish or any polish for that matter that doesn’t have any top coat on it because you’ll have to use about 3 pads for both hands.

Sumi Charcoal Facial Cleansing Foam

I’ve heard the awesome reviews about using products that include charcoal. For only $1.50 I figured it’s worth a try. I can’t wait to try this!

charcoal cleanser

I alos went the next day (Sunday) to see the winning nymbers for the raffles but alas I didn’t win. 😦 However, I did pick up 2 more things!

Sleeping Pack

It’s a gel that you apply on your face at night and it makes the skin moist while sleeping. What really made me want to buy this was the main ingredient: Hyaluronic Acid!

Rose Contact Lens Case

I always need an extra case for my contacts because for some reason, I always lose them! When I saw this, I had to buy it. First of all, it’s pink and its roses. I don’t know if I already mentioned this but I am in love with all floral things especially roses.

contact case

Lastly they had a promotion the 1st day that was where if you were one of the 200 people with a receipt, you would get a goodie bag. This included two types of snacks: Shrimp Chips and Wheat Noodle Crackers, A Tea’s Tea black tea latte, Vitamin C tablets, Orange Gummies, 2 types of cookies and a yogurt drink.

Hope you guys and gals enjoyed this haul!
