Moroccan Gold Series Treatment Mask Review

Happy first Monday of summer loves!

Can you believe we’re already in summer?! Time goes by so fast these days right?!

So this might be a first for me but I’m almost hitting pan on one of my favorite hair treatments ever! Hence, this blog post: a review on my Moroccan Gold Series Treatment Hair Mask.

I was lucky enough to get this with my Winter 2018 Fab Fit Fun box and I’ve been using it ever since. Somehow it lasted me till now!

What is it?

It’s an intense care treatment for dry and damaged hair. It seals split ends, strengthens hair, and makes your hair more manageable with a strong blend of keratin and pure Moroccan argan oil.

How I use it?

For the most part, I do use it as an overnight hair treatment. Simply use your shampoo and conditioner as usual. After I get out of the shower, I’ll towel dry my hair and start applying the mask in sections until my hair is saturated with the treatment. I’ll then put it in a bun and cover my hair using the satin cap bonnet. Then when I take a shower, I just rinse it out real good. That’s it!

My Outcome:

I really do love it! When I apply it after the shower its gives you somewhat of a light feeling but then again i saturated my hair with this stuff! When I rinse off the deep conditioner (as I call it), my hair feels amazing and feels hydrated. I’ve recently have started to love my curls so I need all of the moisture I can get especially in this crazy Los Angeles heat.  As for the scent, let me tell you! It’s an light argan scent where you can smell other oils such as rosemary, tea tree, sunflower, shea and avocado oil.

Target Fall Beauty Box

Happy Wednesday loves!

Have any of you noticed it’s almost impossible to grab a Target Beauty Box before it sells out?! Well miraculously, I was able to grab one this time for the Fall Beauty Box. I only paid $5 which is pretty good considering that you get samples and one or 2 full size products. I personally wanted this box just because there was more hair products for curly hair!

Skincare:

Pretty Animalz by Look Beauty: Panda Calming Facials Sheet Mask- it provides intensive hydration and calms skin with an aromatic lavender scent. I will definitely use this on my at home spa day. The first full size product!

St. Ives: Invigorating Apricot Scrub – it helps reduce breakouts before they occur while it’s made of natural exfoliants for a gentle and deep cleanse. I personally I don’t use this for my face. From what I’ve learned: Apricot seed is indeed very sharp so I only use this for my at-home pedicures.

Haircare:

Curls: Blueberry Leave In Conditioner – it’s a special formula that helps to hydrate, boost healthy hair growth and support strong keratin production.

SheaMoisture: Argan Oil & Argan Milk Shampoo and Blowout Creme – argan oil, shea butter and almond milk gently cleanses to tame frizz and improve shine. I’ve received this before and I’m glad I got another sample of it! The blowout creme works perfectly for blow drying curly hair.

Curls Unleashed: Curl Defining Creme – it’s a lasting moisture that treats even the most dry and damaged hair, leaving it soft, smooth and manageable.

Body Care:

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Moisturizing Body Lotion – cocoa butter enriched with Vitamin E helps to smooth marks, heal, soften and tone skin. I’ve heard about this everywhere, however, it’s my first time trying it out!

Chapstick: Hydration in Blood Orange – an advanced 3-1 formula that helps moisturize, renew and transform for more youthful-looking lips. Another full size product!

There you have it loves! A review of the Target Fall Beauty Box! What do you think? Have any of you tried or received any Target beauty boxes?

3rd Annual Au Natural Love Hair Conference

Hello guys!

I’ve lately been getting used to my curly hair and I’m thinking about starting to go natural (hair care). I was again on Eventbrite (woo-h00!) and came across a hair conference in Long Beach. I signed up for their 3rd Annual Au Natural Love Hair Conference.

Located at the Grand Event Center in Long Beach, I approached the room and I was greeted with a friendly face.As I checked in, I received a swag bag full of hair care goodies.

There were giveaways, speakers, talks, light refreshments, some entertainment and even a panel.

In the back of the room, there were a few vendors selling their products.

The Panelists:

Thomas TJ Loftin: He’s a business coach and motivational speaker. He spoke about creating and helping each other’s businesses.

Lisa Puerto: She’s an international speaker and bestselling author. She’s the first to write a book about real estate for the youth! If only they would have thought about that in my childhood.

Courntey Danclar: After working mostly for corporate, Courtney traveled to West Africa and thus created Ankara Nation Inc, which is mostly African clothing.

Tracy Sanders: An attorney and author of “Natural Hair in the Workplace: What Are Your Rights?” I never knew an interviewer could deny you after your interview due to natural hair!

Dr. Bambou Ada Diagne: A Nobel Peace Recipient and CEO of International Ventures and Trade, specifically Imports/Exports. She actually started as a midwife, and she mostly exports and imports products from West Africa.

I learned a lot of things business-wise and more about natural hair! I’ve always heard about co-wash but I never knew what it was, until that day! The same with pre-poo.

The creator of this beautiful event was Kelsie Lyn who is a makeup artist and a natural hair specialist.

What I loved the most about this event was it wasn’t all about hair. It’s about loving yourself as you are naturally.

I look forward to the next Au Natural Love Hair Conference!

Dove Hair: Love Your Curls Video Reaction

Happy Monday loves!

I don’t usually post anything too serious but I feel like this video should be put out there everywhere.

It’s a video about a few girls with curly hair getting interviewed and getting asked about their hair. All of them said they didn’t like it. These girls are about 5-13 years old and have such a hate relationship with their curly hair! One of them said that she wants to have straight hair because its smooth and she thinks it makes her look beautiful. Another one mentioned that she wanted to “just rip it out”.

As I was watching this video, it really made me tear up! Coming from personal experience, I’ve been in those situations and still do until now. Kids in elementary and middle school were always making fun of my curly hair and it did make me think twice about my hair.  It’s sad to hear these young kids not feeling “beautiful” for not having straight hair.

I’m personally not a fan of my curly hair, but I figure out ways to style it differently. (especially if leaving my hair down curly, it gets very frizzy)

Curly hair is beautiful hair, some people have always wanted curly hair. All hair is beautiful. It does help though to have other people in our lives that care about us, no matter what hair type we have.

I know this was a very random post, but I saw it and just had to put my opinion in this. It struck a cord with me.

Only 4 out of 10 curly haired girls think their hair is beautiful! 😦
