Happy Wednesday loves!

We’re halfway through the week?! I don’t know about you guys but this week has been quick!

I just wanted to give you a few details about the 2017 LA Cookie Con that is next week!

I went last year and let me tell you it was fun! A lot of samples and purchasing many baking products. They even had a booth where a young lady was making balloon animals and cupcake hats.

The West Coast’s Largest Baking Convention takes place at the LA Convention Center!

LOS ANGELES – After selling out two years in a row, the LA Cookie Con and Sweets Show is returning for its third year. The West Coast’s largest baking and pastry expo will take place February 18 & 19, 2017 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Due to increased demand, the show is quadrupling its space over last year’s event to make room for even more attendees and vendors. With nearly 50,000 guests expected throughout the weekend, sweets enthusiasts can enjoy free samples from over 275 local shops and national brands, meet their favorite foodie TV stars, watch baking demonstrations, and participate in hands-on workshops.

The LA Cookie Con and Sweets Show will be complete with five stages and classrooms for workshops focusing on Traditional Baking, Vegan/Gluten-Free/Paleo Baking, Cake Decorating, Cookie Decorating, and the Celebrity Guests stage. Attendees can also admire the incredible cake displays as part of the Decorator’s Showcase competition. 100% of the proceeds from the Decorator’s Showcase entry fees will benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Los Angeles.

Fun for the whole family, The Kids Zone will offer free face painting, cookie decorating, crafts, games and more.

Love with Food June 2014 Review

Hi Loves!

I hope you all are having a great week. 🙂 Welcome to summer! lol

I was on Facebook recently and found a promotion for the Love with Food subscription box. I’m usually hesitant about paying full price for a box I don’t know what to expect, so when I saw this promotion I had to try it! I paid $2 for shipping for my first box and my, I was not disappointed at all! What also is nice about this box, is that for every box they sell, the company sends a meal to a child. Their motto is “One Box. One Meal.” There’s a range of sweet to savory flavors and I definitely love that!

Cheddar Baked Fries by Snikiddy

baked fries

*50% less fat than regular chips                                                             *vegetarian

*non-GMO potatoes and corn                                                                 *no MSG, no trans fat and no nuts

*certified gluten-free

*cholesterol free

I definitely enjoyed this snack although it does have that weird slight aftertaste.

Good for You Granola, Almond Butter & Jelly Sandwhich by Jolly Oak

granola

*Non-GMO superfood granola                                                       *all natural

*zero artificial anything

I’m not much of a granola person, but wow! that may change (at least with this brand and flavor). It wasn’t too sweet and I did enjoy the dried fruits in it like raisins, dried strawberries and dried cranberries. It can easily be put on yogurt or even cereal. Or if you’re in a hurry, you could also eat it as is.

Pineapple, Raspberry and Mango Fruit Snacks by YumEarth Organics

fruit snacks

*Made with real fruit juice                                                             *No artificial colors or flavors

*Gluten-free                                                                                         *100% daily Vitamin C

*Fat-free                                                                                                *Nut-free

*Non-GMO                                                                                            *100% Vegan

I love the raspberry and the pineapple flavors. Not so much on the mango flavor though. Definitely something I would like.

Chocolate Cookies by Dulcetto

chocolate cookies

*100 calories                                                                                      *100% Natural

*0 trans fat                                                                                          *No artificial flavors or coloring

This is probably my favorite thing in this box! It’s a chocolate cream filled cookie. It reminds me of those wafer cookie sticks my parents used to buy us as kids. You could eat this with tea, hot cocoa, and coffee. Even try them frozen for a summer treat.

Montmorency Cherries by Stoneridge Orchards

cherries

* Gluten free                                                                                        *No artificial colors, flavors or preservatives

*All Natural                                                                                         *100 Calories

I honestly can’t say my opinion because I’m not a dried cherry person, so I gave it away to my sister. From what I hear, she loves it.

A Ginger Detox Cookie

*All Natural                                                                                        *No trans-fat

*contains: ginger, cayenne, & blackstrap molasses

I haven’t tried this yet but I will when I have an early shift at work! Definitively I’m very interested about this cookie.

Chicago Mix by G. H. Cretors

popcorn

*All Natural                                                                                       *No gluten ingredients

I really did like this product. It’s popcorn that’s either buttery caramel or rich cheddar cheese flavor. What I did enjoy about this is that every time you take a bite you don’t know if it’s going to be sweet or salty.

Gum Balls by Tree Hugger Gum

bubble gum

*Vegan                                                                                                  *Non-GMO

*No corn syrup                                                                                 *Nut free

*Dairy Free                                                                                         *Kosher Parve

This bubble gum reminded me of Juicy Fruit and it was very chewy.

What I love about subscription boxes is that not only do you get products, they also send you coupons.

I would rate this sub box a 4 out of 5! I will definitely try the next box out. If you’d like to sign up and get your first box free, use my link! 🙂
