Dove Hair: Love Your Curls Video Reaction

Happy Monday loves!

I don’t usually post anything too serious but I feel like this video should be put out there everywhere.

It’s a video about a few girls with curly hair getting interviewed and getting asked about their hair. All of them said they didn’t like it. These girls are about 5-13 years old and have such a hate relationship with their curly hair! One of them said that she wants to have straight hair because its smooth and she thinks it makes her look beautiful. Another one mentioned that she wanted to “just rip it out”.

As I was watching this video, it really made me tear up! Coming from personal experience, I’ve been in those situations and still do until now. Kids in elementary and middle school were always making fun of my curly hair and it did make me think twice about my hair.  It’s sad to hear these young kids not feeling “beautiful” for not having straight hair.

I’m personally not a fan of my curly hair, but I figure out ways to style it differently. (especially if leaving my hair down curly, it gets very frizzy)

Curly hair is beautiful hair, some people have always wanted curly hair. All hair is beautiful. It does help though to have other people in our lives that care about us, no matter what hair type we have.

I know this was a very random post, but I saw it and just had to put my opinion in this. It struck a cord with me.

 

Only 4 out of 10 curly haired girls think their hair is beautiful! 😦

What is your favorite food? Sushi!! but then again anything savory.

Favorite colors? Silver,pink and black

Do you have any pets? just 1 dog (Dahab!) He’s a Daschound Pitbull mix. -I think a very tiny part of pitbull

Favorite perfume: Michael Kors Glam Jasmine

Have you ever been out of the country?  Nope not unless you consider being born in Egypt is being out of the country

Do you speak any other languages? Arabic (Egyptian dialect)

How many siblings do you have? 1 younger sister

Favorite movies? Casablanca, Love Actually, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I just love their insults!

Favorite TV shows? Criminal Minds, Gilmore Girls. 2 totally different genres but that’s how I am lol

I personally love any type of deodorant towelettes. It’s a great way to get refreshed when you’re on the go, either at work, the gym or traveling. Not too strong of a scent and does the job right!

When I first saw this, I was a bit intimidated due to seeing it green. However, after I did try it, I loved it! It’s not too sweet, healthy and it does fill you up. I like the fact that they do have cashews, sunflower seed kernels and dates.

I don’t have an exact picture of it because I was so intrigued that I ate it before I could take a picture of it!

My Verdict:

I honestly wouldn’t order another Conscious Box just because I can’t use all of the products I received. I did like Annie’s Bunny Grahams, the Raw Rev 100 bar, the Crystal towelettes, and the Weleda shampoo and conditioner.

What is a Rose?

I figured I’d do a little something different than my usual posts. In high school, I used to write oh so many poems. Some of them didn’t rhyme and some did. This is my favorite one that I’ve written. I hope you enjoy it 🙂

What is a rose?

What is a red rose,

when lovers give it to one another?

When in their hands, it fades and dies,

so will their love.

 

What is a yellow rose,

symbolize in friendship?

The friends we have had in the past,

the present and the future.

 

What is a white rose,

represent in a wedding?

To remind us that we do have a love,

Even though we may not be aware of it.

 

So what is a rose,

in all colors and all occasions?

To remind us of life,

the good and the bad.

my name is actually christina but everyone calls me Chrissy. I like Chrissy waaay better lol

Oct 23, 1986! i noticed lots of people are born in October. hmmm weird haha jk. I’m more in the middle of being a Libra and Scorpio. It figures lol

3. where was i born?

I was born in….. Egypt. 🙂 but i came here at 3 months old

4. What’s my occupation?

Well I’m a licensed esthetician for now. 🙂 Skin Care Therapist if you want to call it. lol. I do makeup, waxing and of course facials!.

5. What’s your eye color, hair length and hair color?

I have brown eyes, my hair is super long, its curly and its a dark reddish brown. (naturally dark brown)

6. what’s my best feauture?

hmm I would say I’m very kind, friendly, my heart’s pretty big. lol i may be shy at first but don’t let that fool you. 🙂

7. Have you ever had braces, any piercings or tattoos?

I did have braces for awhile. haha grr i hated it but it was well worth it. I’m too chicken for a tattoo and i had my ears pierced twice.

8. Am I left handed or right?

I’m actually a lefty and i’m proud! haha

9. what’s my favorite color, song, & restaurant?

my favorite color is silver, blue and pink. very random i know. haha i don’t really have a favorite song at the moment. lol but my favorite restaurant would be Kabuki Japanese Restaurant. its pricey but well worth it!

My favorite store would have to be Target. You can get everything from there and my favorite magazine would have to be Glamour. 🙂

A mix of Boys II Men and arabic songs. i love me some arabic songs 😀
