Happy Monday loves!
Hope you all had a great Super Bowl Weekend. I personally don’t usually watch the Super Bowl but like many people watch it for the commercials! What did you think of the commercials?
A couple weeks ago I was lucky enough to go to BlushCon 2018. It was part of the Asian American Expo, and it was probably one of the biggest expos I’ve been to.
As I was browsing BlushCon, I came across a booth: Nail & Bone. First thing that came to my mind was it must be a nail polish brand that has to do something with dogs. I was right!
Nail & Bone is a nail polish company that gives 20% of their proceeds to pet rescue and adoption centers such as SPCALA Friends for Life, Best Friends Animal Society and Greater Good Animal Rescue. My heart jumped a beat when I learned about it.
The cutest thing about this company is that all the shades are named after famous influential people’s dogs! Ellen has one and even Halle Berry! Look at that puppy trademark!
The shade I’m wearing is Nimbus which looks great on an accent nail and if you’re feeling daring you could even use Nimbus as a multi-color glitter top coat. I used Julep in Jet as the base coat.
Did you want to know who owns this adorable Mini-American Eskimo dog? I’ll give you a hint: her first YouTube video was an Avatar Naa’vi makeup tutorial. She became a viral sensation and has more than 4.5 million subscribers. Last but not least, she’s well known for her transformation videos. Any ideas yet??….
Happy Wednesday loves!
Hope you’re all having a great week.
I wanted to combine 2 nail polishes together and go figure, they’re both Sinful Colors. I used Sinful Colors Kandee Johnson “Kiss Goodnight” as the base and for the top, I used Sinful Colors “Gold n’ Roses”.
When I first saw Gold n’ Roses, I thought it would be a beautiful metallic rose gold color but when I first applied it, it was really sheer. I figured I would use it as a glitter or accent polish. I love how the 2 colors give off that pretty light blue with rose gold glitter.
What do you guys think?!
Happy Monday loves!
I hope you all are doing great! I’m so sorry for not posting as much as I used to, but been kind of busy with work! But I’m back. 🙂
I feel like I haven’t done a Mani Monday in forever. I scored this polish at the 99 cent store for only $1.99! Who would have thought you can find drugstore brands at the dollar store!
I’m wearing the Revlon ColorStay in the shade Sunburst. It’s a jelly type texture while I had to do a few layers for it to come out like that! The top coat on the middle finger is SinfulColor “Frenzy”.
What do you guys think?! 🙂 What’s your opinion about jelly polishes?
Happy Monday loves!
I’m going back to my Hunger Games themed nail polishes from CoverGirl because I wanted some glitter! lol
Here I’m wearing the CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Glosstinis in the shade 635 Scalding Emerald. This shade is more on the sheer side and to get this tone, I had to add 3 layers to it. 3 Layers! It doesn’t look as emerald as you would think but I personally like it. It has a mixture of gold and green specks of glitter. You can use it for a cute glittery top coat or just by itself. Either way, it’s a pretty color to wear especially during the holidays.
Hi loves! I hope all is doing well. 🙂
This is a very late post but hey its better late than never. About a month ago, I had gotten an email about trying the Julep Maven box and only pay 2.99 shipping. So I figured I would try it out to see what the hype was all about.
*The strengthening power of Hexanal
*Even color distribution and superior coverage
*Oxygen technology that lets nails breathe
*Antioxidants from pure green coffee extract
How Julep works:
You sign up and take a style survey and at the end you get a few picks depending on your style!
They have nail polish, makeup and hair, skincare, body, nail hand and foot care and weddings.
What I received:
*”Jet” from the It Girl collection- a creme dark black
*”Queen Anne” from the It Girl collection- a lilac confetti microglitter that does feel like there is a texture. Kind of like cat’s tongue or feels lighter than sandpaper.
*”Tatiana” from the collection Boho Glam- a golden burnt orange microglitter which is also a glitter.
* I also had gotten a gel eye glider in the shade Smoky Taupe Shimmer. I love this gel liner because it’s simple but yet makes a statement.
What do you guys think? Does any of you order from Julep Maven? 🙂
Hey loves! I hope everyone is having a great 4th of July and enjoying the summer!
I’m so sorry I didn’t have a chance to post last Friday’s mani. Just too many things came up but I’m back!
This weekend I’m wearing CoverGirl Glosstini in the shade Pyro Pink.
This is can definitely pass for a summer nail look! From the bottle, it looks pretty dark but I had to layer it about 3 times to get this color.
I’m on a mission to buy the whole Capital Collection. It’s just that pretty!
Hope you’re all having a great week and good luck to everyone taking their final exams. 🙂
For the past few weeks, I’ve seen both Target and CVS Pharmacy have the CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Glosstinis on clearance. At CVS, they’re 50% off and at Target it’s $1.49! Definitely a great steal! I bought this color at Target for only $1.48 and I’d be surprised to go back and see a few shades left. It turns out that this line is actually a limited edition Hunger Games called “Limited Edition Capitol Collection”.
Today, I’m wearing the shade 600 Sulfur Blaze. It’s a very vibrant yellow gold with gold glitter. It’s a great color statement and perfect for the summer.
I definitely can’t wait next week to see what shade I’ll be wearing for this Friday Manicure series.
