I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a great New Years! Forgive me for being so MIA, I had too many things going on but that’s all about to change! I have some exciting news that I’ll post soon (possibly next week) and I’m so excited for it. Anyone have any good resolutions? Me for one, I plan to post more than last year , at least 3 times a week.
I haven’t done a Mani Monday in forever so from now on Monday’s posts shall be about nails. 🙂
Today I’m wearing Rimmel London Salon Pro with Lycra in the shade 711 punk rock. Sadly, I believe this shade is discontinued, hence the 75% off at CVS. It’s a long lasting cream purple that has a gel like finish.
The only con about the packaging is the brush itself. It’s really small compared to other nail brushes. I feel like the top is bigger than the applicator itself. Otherwise, I do love the color and it indeed is a long wearing polish.
*On my index finger, I’m wearing Sinful Color 922 Frenzy. It’s a nice glittery top coat. 🙂
And can we mention the background?! That is actually my front yard, it rained yesterday and those are all leaves on the ground. It’s like fall in the middle of winter when I see this background.

I wanted to change up things a bit with a post about the 2nd Dunkin Donuts in Southern California located in Downey. When I first heard that they were going to open a Dunkin Donuts in Downey, I was so excited because I heard great things about the iced coffees and donuts. This is actually one of the first Dunkin Donuts that has a drive thru in SoCal!
The grand opening was on September 23, 2014 and started at 5am! :-O For the first person in line as well as the first person in the drive thru line would get free coffee for the whole yr! The first 100 guests in line did get a Dunkin Donuts tote filled with goodies! For everyone who came yesterday did get a free medium iced coffee.
I got there about 11am and the line wasn’t too long but I didn’t get my coffee and donuts until almost 11:50am. I think it was well worth it though, however I didn’t see anything about the “California-inspired donut”. I did get the medium iced coffee in Caramel. Not too sweet but not too strong, dare I say I might start getting this more than Starbucks iced coffee!
As for the donuts, I kind of wish there was more of a variety of donut flavors but I understand it was that grand opening so it was limited. For a dozen donuts, its about $9.95 and for a single donut it’s $0.99 which isn’t bad considering it to be a well known brand. As for the flavors I got: Boston Kreme, Chocolate Frosted, Old Fashioned Cake, Sprinkles, and Vanilla. At this point, I think my favorite would have to be vanilla.
I am definitely looking forward to coming here more often and try more of the donut flavors and coffee flavors.

I hope you all are enjoying whatever is left of the summer! I don’t know about you guys, but I’m definitely over this heat! lol It’s been so hot this past week, at least 95 degrees out here!

MY REVIEW:
I’m usually a skeptical when it comes to trying new moisturizers that help with my dry skin. However, when I first opened the package, it seemed very creamy and rich. It smells like something you would wear to the beach! It’s very refreshing and has a very strong scent of aloe vera and a hint of chamomile. When I applied it to my face, it felt refreshing and after blending onto my face, it wasn’t sticky or greasy. After using it for 2 weeks, I really do feel a difference in my face. It felt more soft, less dry and more plump.
I definitely love the packaging! It has a very sophisticated look especially with the silver cover. I’m known to like anything that has to do with the color silver! 🙂
I give this 5 stars out of 5 stars. I would definitely purchase this later in the future and it does take a long time to finish!

I was sent a free 2 week trial of the TreSkinRX for Normal Skin. It’s been awhile since I did this review but I wanted to finish the whole product in order to get my full opinion on it!
Most skin care products main ingredient is water but why pay so much for a product when the main ingredient is water? I don’t get it either. The difference about this product than other high brand products is that this is based on Aloe Vera.
The Benefits of Aloe Vera:

There are three different kits available:
1. Normal Skin
2. Oily Skin

For a two-week product trial kit it would be $14.99 (not bad considering it being a trial)
THE BREAKDOWN:
Step 1: Purifying Cleanser:
It’s a gel cleanser that feels refreshing. It removes makeup, dirt, debri and oil but doesn’t have that drying effect. Your skin feels soft and clean.
Step 2: EX3 Daily Renewing Exfoliant:
When I first saw this I was amazed. It’s a sea green color with blue-green micro-beads that are filled with Vitamin C. For most exfoliants/scrubs, you put it on while your face is wet but this one is actually applied when your skin is dry! You basically apply it to your face so that the micro-beads dissolve and wait a few minutes before you put on the moisturizer. At first, it advises you to apply it once a day but then after the 1st week you can apply it up to 2 times a day. That was my first time hearing that you can exfoliate twice a day! By the way, Do Not Rinse Off!
Step 3: Triple Defense Day Moisturizer with SPF 15
It helps protect the skin from external factors that cause premature aging and helps the skin stay soft and smooth. I personally love the feeling of this moisturizer. It’s soft and does not have a heavy or greasy feeling.
Step 4: Night Repair Moisturizer
Before you go to sleep, you apply this night moisturizer to restore and preserve your skin’s natural moisture level and revive your skin’s tension and firmness. Just like the day moisturizer, there’s no greasy heavy feeling which is great.
My Tips:
*If you feel like the exfoliant is getting runny or too liquid-y, you could shake it and stir it with a spatula or toothpick. You could also put it in the fridge for a while.
*When you apply the moisturizers, apply using upward and outward strokes. (it decreases wrinkles)
*If you’re going to work out, apply the exfoliant after your workout.
*It’s supposed to be a 3-week trial but for me it lasted longer because I only need to use a small amount.
I did like using this kit. It was a new experience. I really did enjoy the EX3 Exfoliant because as an esthetician, I’m amazed that I found an exfoliant that you can use daily!
