My Top 5 Podcasts

Happy Thursday loves!

I’ve recently have been getting interested in listening to podcasts. Sometimes you get tired of the same songs playing over and over, right? Or is it just me!? Since my last birthday, I’ve wanted to change many things about myself including self-development, so rightly so, most of my podcasts I listen to are all about that!

Top 5 Podcasts!

  1. Achieve Your Goals with Hal Elrod: this is my very first podcast I followed and listened to. I first heard about Hal Elrod by Bestselling Author of: The Morning Miracle. This guy has been through hell and back and yet still has the energy to create a 30 day Miracle Morning challenge. I have so much respect for him! This again is my first book I purchased after realizing I wanted to change myself for the better! A few of his guests would be: Drew Canole, Robert Kiyosaki, and David Osborn.
  2. The School of Greatness with Lewis Howes: He’s a bestselling author, an entrepreneur and a former pro athlete. He brings in other celebrities and well known guests who help you find out what makes people great. A few people he’s had on this podcast: Maria Sharapova, Kyle Maynard, and Mark Manson!
  3. The Art of Charm: Social Science – This is actually one of the top 5 podcasts for Business, with over 700 episodes and has about 3.8m of downloads per month. He brings in guests to talk about improving your career, confidence and life in general! Some of his guests have been: Shaquille O’Neil,  Vanessa Van Edwards, Jim Kwik, and Neil deGrasse Tyson.
  4. 10% Happier with Dan Harris: Dan Harris is a skeptical, fidgety ABC newsman who had a panic attack on Good Morning America. He has speakers talk about meditation and different ways to deal with stress. He’s also an bestselling author “10% Happier:Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics”. LeAnn Rimes, Rich Roll, and even Gary Vaynerchuk have been guests on his show!
  5.  Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu: It’s a business and mindset-focused interview show that teaches anyone and everyone the secret to success. He’s a serial entrepeneur and co-founder of Quest Nutrition. His favorite quote: BE LEGENDARY! He’s brought in a lot of guests, both international and domestic. Some honarable mentions of his guests: Bassem Yousseff (the Egyptian Jon Stewart!), again Vanessa Van Edwards, Noah Galloway, and Mel Robbins. He’s all about the mindset, and usually includes The Matrix.

*Another reason why I love these podcasts, is that even though these podcasts are pretty much different: they bring in some of the same guests and you still get a benefit of listening to different topics!

There you have it folks! What do you guys think? Do you have any podcasts you recommend? 🙂

My 2017 Goals

Happy Wednesday loves! I’m changing things up a bit this year by talking more about me personally. We always have New Year Resolutions but must we label it as such? I rather consider my resolutions as goals, that seems better right? Anyways, I have a few goals I want to achieve this year. Here it goes!

*Write More Blog Posts and Attend More Blogging Events-I haven’t posted as much as I wanted in 2016 and that’s about to change! Just a little hint: Eventbrite has a lot of different types of events locally (free and not free)

*Cook More Often and Eat Healthier-At least cook once or twice a week, cut back on soda and sugar. Easier said than done right?! Drink more water and even post some healthy lifestyle blog posts.

*Go Back to School and Finish my BS in Sociology and Work a Full-time Steady Job. (also taking online classes such as self-improvement)

*Get More Organized and Write in My Planner (TJ Max has really cute and efficient planners)

*Don’t Overthink and Enjoy Life-this is probably one of my important goals just because I can tend to overthink and worry. Just a fun fact: did you know that overthinking can actually backfire and ruin things!

Well there you have it folks, my goals of 2017! Do you have anything you want different in 2017? I’d love to hear it!

Blooming Beauty Bites New Business Cards!!

Happy Monday everyone! I’m finally back and rebranded my blog!!

I may have been absent for a few good months but I have learned a lot these past few months. 🙂

I recently ordered my business cards on vistaprint and boy do I love it. To me, Vistaprint is a great start to creating business cards especially when you first need to test out a few things. When I came across the design of the business cards, I was stuck on 3 designs but ended up picking this one just because it fits so well with my blog theme.

In case you haven’t noticed, Blooming Beauty Bites has a certain ring to it. I needed a name that would define me.

Blooming- I love flowers (hence the background of the business card)

Beauty- come on its beauty!!

Bites- snacks, food, restaurant reviews, healthy hacks.

What do you guys think? 🙂

Top 5 Beauty Buys

Happy Friday loves!

I wanted to change things up and decided to do my very first Top 5 Beauty Buys. Every new season brings new makeup and beauty products and being the beauty I am, I love it!

1. Degree MotionSense Dry Spray in Fresh Energy

It’s basically a 48 hour antiperspirant dry spray. It goes on instantly dry and I use this every single day. I just love the scent. It’s has a clean, breezy scent with a hint of baby powder.

I actually got this for free as a sample from Target. Now imagine that! A full size new dry deodorant. The only thing that sucks is that a few weeks prior to signing up for the free product, I had purchased the Dove dry spray. -_-

2. Simple Cleansing Micellar Water

It’s perfect for sensitive skin while it cleanses, removes makeup and hydrates the skin. There’s no harsh chemicals, no artificial perfume or dyes. I use this primarily in the morning before I apply my makeup, that way if I’m still in a hurry, I can cleanse my face quickly. I also use this at night occasionally when I’m taking off minimal makeup. This doesn’t work well if you have heavy dark eye makeup, it’ll be harder to wipe away. The perfect thing about this is that: you don’t have to rinse it off at all!

3. Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Mascara

This is actually the only mascara I bought since the beginning of the year. That’s how excited I was about this new mascara. I’ve tried a few Maybelline mascaras but this one just hit the nail! *That’s an upcoming review about that one!*

4. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter “010 Raspberry Pie”

I’m very slowly getting into color on my lips. lol my lips have a natural color to it, so I never really put on lipstick. However, after reading more about colors, I started to branch out. Hence this color! Its such a pretty berry pink with a tiny hint of shimmer.

5. Daily Concepts Facial Micro Scrubber

I got this little gem at the International Salon and Spa Expo in Long Beach back in January. It’s really a smart concept to be honest! One side is a terry cloth material to remove makeup and on the other side, there’s a more rough material to help exfoliate.
